Question 8: You say Paul never really repented. But Paul said that for him to live is Christ. How do you explain that?

Answer: Paul said he is the living Christ, but those are just his own words. They are not the testimony of the Holy Spirit and are not supported by Lord Jesus’s own words. The other apostles never said they were living Christs. Just basing this off Paul’s words is not credible! None of the ancient historical prophets dared claim he was the living embodiment of Christ. Only Paul dared say that. Therefore, we can see that Paul was too arrogant and unreasonable. In the Age of Grace, the Holy Spirit only testified that Lord Jesus was Christ. Lord Jesus’s works of salvation, the disposition He espoused and all that He has and is completely proved that he was Christ. Paul was the main culprit behind the hatred of the truth and resistance of God. He said he was the living Christ; that shows he did not know Christ at all. In that case, brothers and sisters, what is Christ, really? As to this question, let us see what Almighty God said.

“The incarnate God is called Christ, and Christ is the flesh donned by the Spirit of God. This flesh is unlike any man that is of the flesh. This difference is because Christ is not of flesh and blood but is the incarnation of the Spirit. He has both a normal humanity and a complete divinity. His divinity is not possessed by any man. His normal humanity sustains all His normal activities in the flesh, while His divinity carries out the work of God Himself. Be it His humanity or divinity, both submit to the will of the heavenly Father. The substance of Christ is the Spirit, that is, the divinity. Therefore, His substance is that of God Himself ….” (“The Substance of Christ Is Obedience to the Will of the Heavenly Father” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).

“God become flesh is called Christ, and so the Christ that can give people the truth is called God. There is nothing excessive about this, for He possesses the substance of God, and possesses God’s disposition, and wisdom in His work, that are unattainable by man. Those who call themselves Christ, yet cannot do the work of God, are frauds. Christ is not merely the manifestation of God on earth, but instead, the particular flesh assumed by God as He carries out and completes His work among man. This flesh is not one that can be replaced by just any man, but one that can adequately bear God’s work on earth, and express the disposition of God, and well represent God, and provide man with life” (“Only Christ of the Last Days Can Give Man the Way of Eternal Life” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).

From God’s words, we can see that God incarnate is Christ. Christ is God’s spirit in the flesh. Christ is the manifestation of God, that is, the form God takes when he comes down in the flesh to do His work. Therefore, Christ is God. Christ can give us truth and life; He can espouse God’s righteous disposition and the wisdom of His works. Christ is the righteous and holy God Himself. Christ’s life was given to him upon birth. He was God incarnate from the moment he was born. He did not obtain life halfway down the path of faith, as other men do. He was Christ at birth, and forever will be Christ. Those who are not Christ at birth never will be Christ. No matter how men pursue the truth, they cannot become Christ. Christ's life is something that no creation or non-creation possesses or can ever obtain. Paul said he was the living Christ. Then did he possess God’s disposition and all that God has and is? Could he espouse truths to save mankind? If you say he had Christ’s life, how was he still able to resist Lord Jesus? Paul himself admitted he was a “sinner”. How can a “sinner” be the living Christ? Is that not blasphemy against God? Are you saying that people who labor and work a lot become Christ? Is that not a fallacy? Paul originally was the main culprit behind the resistance of Christ. That is a publicly-known fact. In later years, he testified that he was the living Christ. He tried replace Christ and take His position. How can a life-long anti-Christ, a satanic person like that become Christ? Paul said he was the living Christ. This proves that was false! It was an expansion of Satan’s ambition! It completely exposed Paul’s desire to become God. He wanted to take the place of Lord Jesus in the hearts of men. This proves that Paul’s true nature was that of an anti-Christ. Paul walked the path of an anti-Christ.
